The Original House of Horrors in Cleveland on Imperial Avenue

Michael Madison was reported to be "inspired" by Anthony Sowell, when he kidnapped and murdered women in and around his home in East Cleveland.

Investigative reporter Rob Sberna has spoken with Anthony Sowell several times, corresponding with the serial killer on the phone and by letter in his research for the book House of Horrors, The Shocking True Story of Anthony Sowell, The Cleveland Strangler.

Sberna has also spoken with many family members of the 11 women who Sowell was convicted of killing, and two women who fought their way out of Sowell's home on Imperial Avenue.

In his conversation, the author talks about why Sowell says he attacked all those women, and about the differences between Sowell and Ariel Castro, the man accused of kidnapping Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus.
