Fighting For A Fisher House to Benefit Veterans' Families

Despite problems plaguing the Department of Veterans Affairs, efforts to benefit our nation's veterans and their families continue with the push to build a Greater Cleveland Fisher House on the campus of the Louis Stokes VA medical Center at Wade Park in Cleveland.

There is no Fisher House in Cleveland.  That oversight is currently being addressed, thanks to the efforts of Tom Sweeney, President of the Fisher House Task Force in Cleveland, Task Force Vice President Doug Harvey and Rick DeChant, the Secretary Treasurer of the Task Force.

Never heard of Fisher House?  There are dozens all over the world, which makes the absence of one in Cleveland even more glaring, considering the recent consolidation of the Brecksville Veteran's Administration Hospital with the one at Wade Park, making the Louis B. Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland the second largest in the country.
