Girls Get Help With Self Esteem From Angel Faces- Angel Faces Get a Boost From Save A Smile Fundraiser

Nancy Ogden West and Barbara Marlowe
Children who suffer disfiguring injuries and those who are born with facial anomalies have a chance to improve their self esteem, along with their appearance thanks to Angel Faces. Makeup artist Nancy Ogden West works closely with the organization, which takes young girls on week-long retreats, where they are treated by professionals with expertise in several specialties.

Barbara Marlowe chairs the Save A Smile, Save A Child fundraiser to benefit Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.   She became involved after bringing a young girl from Iraq to Cleveland for treatment at Rainbow.  Teeba, now 13, has undergone several surgical procedures after being severely injured by a bomb that killed one of her brothers 10 years ago,

This year's Save a Smile, Save a Child event will feature the founder of Angel Faces, Lesia Stockall Cartelli, who has written the book Heart of Fire: An Intimate Journey of Pain, Loss and Healing.
